Company History
KerrHill wasn’t the company’s original name. In 1990, the original three founders of the company were Ron Hill, Peggy Kerr, and Ralph Bettman, named the company Performex. It was a small boutique business consulting firm based in San Ramon, California that focused exclusively on manager development.
When Ralph left in 1993, Ron and Peggy wanted to rename the company so they asked their team for their input. One of the team members suggested combining Ron and Peggy’s last names which is how they came up with KerrHill, a name that has since come to be known as a leader in quality Business Management Development programs.
Ron and Peggy continued to run the business together until Peggy retired in 1997, then Ron took sole ownership of the business from 1997 to 2002.
As the new CEO, George’s had a bigger vision for KerrHill. He wanted to expand the company from being solely focused on in-person management trainings to also incorporate leadership and team trainings and other key consulting services that would further help develop managers, leaders and teams to be successful in their role.George also added professional development assessments to the programs as he knew the great value these would bring for KerrHill’s clients.
Some of these assessments included: the DISC Behavior and Motivators assessment, Emotional Intelligence, Acumen, TKI, and The Five Dysfunction of a Team, which all have become very popular development tools for our clients.
This helped support a wide range of clients during the pandemic along with clients based nationwide and abroad.
Over the years our client base has grown globally to encompass a diverse network of clients, ranging from Biotech, construction, software to manufacturing. Being affiliated to a network of global consultants, we are able to deliver high quality trainings to any part of the world. We provide trainings in multi-languages and can customize our programs and services to fit our client’s needs. Now with over 34 years of developing managers, leaders, and teams, KerrHill continues its legacy as a leader in providing management and leadership development excellence.

Meet the Team
George Phirippidis is CEO and senior consultant at KerrHill. He has spent the past 21 years training and coaching thousands of professionals in over 30 industries. He specializes in delivering leader, manager, supervisor and team development programs and has coached top executives for companies like Symantec, Robert Half, Bayer, Kaiser and NetApp. He also facilitates strategic planning and team building offsites.
What led to George’s career path in coaching, consultation and facilitation was a career change; previously CEO for an e-commerce-based mail order company for over 10 years.
He realized he wanted to help businesses improve their performance and overall bottom line by developing companies’ leadership and management teams.
His passion for leader and manager development inspired him to write the Six Functions of Management, an interactive manager’s field guide that captures the key lessons from his 2-3 day management training courses.
George’s delivery methods have provided hundreds of satisfied clients achieve higher levels of success, productivity, and work life balance.
As a result, many of his customers have become lifelong clients. To this day, he still receives calls from clients thanking him for his development programs and leaving such a positive impact on their life and career.
As Marketing and Brand Manager for KerrHill, April brings over 16 years of experience in marketing, sales, and branding in the consumer products, B2B, beauty, retail, event and promotional product industries.
She’s committed to helping companies develop strategic marketing solutions for enhancing company market presence, bringing new business products and services to life, and curating well-designed and high performing marketing pieces.
Her passion to help client’s improve their business within the realms of marketing, branding and customer experiences, fulfills her strengths in helping companies grow with her expertise.
What drew her to work in the management, leader and team development industry, was a personal interest in professional development and seeing the value people receive in the professional development services sector. More specifically, she feels rewarded seeing clients and businesses grow and get value from the services and programs KerrHill offers.
Her mission is to continue helping companies like KerrHill elevate their business brand and market awareness, whether it’s supporting a creative project, improving a marketing piece, giving critical brand guidance, or generating new business leads.
Lisa is an HR professional with over 25 years of experience in instructional design, organizational development, talent management, learning and development strategies and process improvement. She has had the opportunity to work for very dynamic organizations in retail, financial, solar energy, risk consulting and government agencies.
Her career in training, management and leadership development started in the 1990’s as a Training Manager for Providian Financial. From there she worked her way up to other HR positions such as Senior HR Development Specialist, Manager of Staff Development, and Senior Manager of Organizational Development and Instructional Design for the Save Mart Supermarkets. She currently works as the Director of North America’s Residential Partner Training at SunPower Corporation.
Lisa strengthened her skill set with certifications in numerous personality assessment instruments including Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), FIRO-B, Enneagram, and Personality Dimensions to name a few. She is also well versed in DiSC and various 360-assessment tools. Her Six-Sigma Green Belt certification enables her to deploy process improvement in learning as well as policy and procedure.
Lisa’s passion for business management earned her a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations at St. Mary’s College of California. She is grateful for her college education as it led her to a successful career. Lisa’s goal is to continue promoting excellence in human performance through the execution of developing one’s potential.
Clients appreciate and admire Lisa’s extensive knowledge on a variety of HR functions, her ability to articulate clearly and effectively when presenting, capture all types of audiences, and think quickly on her feet. Her exceptional ability to multi-task a variety of projects keeps her in the forefront of organizational management.
Billie has been in the accounting and financial advisory business for over 30 years. She has worked with KerrHill for the past 21 years and brings all the best elements of accounting management to the company.
While an expert in Quickbooks, she also has a unique ability to understand how a company’s accounting management impacts taxes and tax planning.
Her attention to detail and ensuring client invoices and outbound invoicing provides KerrHill clients with accurate billing statements. This reduces accounts payable errors and rework on our clients part, which extends the high level quality of service KerrHill provides.
Additionally her experience in both large and small accounting departments and business allows her to bring the best practices to KerrHill and its clients.
In addition to our corporate staff, KerrHill is associated with a worldwide network of affiliate consultants which allows us to support our clients training needs globally. From Southeast Asia to Europe and the US and Canada, we have traveled the world in response to our clients demands.
Often having local consultants that are familiar with cultural norms, being in the same time zone, speaking the same language and being locally available enhance the client training experience.
We strive to ensure that all affiliate consultants utilized are experienced business consults, seasoned facilitators and have certain certifications and accreditations in the assessment tools we incorporate into our trainings.
